Elected Officers
- The elected officers of the chapter shall be a President, Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer.
- The Social Media secretary shall be appointed by the President and called upon to perform duties as prescribed.
- Officer(s), elected by the membership shall serve for a term of two years 2018-2020
Duties of Elected Officers
- The President shall:
- Be the chief executive officer and the official representative of the Chapter.
- Give administrative guidance and direction to the structure and programing of the chapter.
- Serve as chairman of the Executive Board and preside over all official meetings of the chapter.
- Recommend to the Executive Board the removal of any elected or appointed official as specified in ARTICLE VI, Section 4.C.
- Perform duties as set down in the By-laws and other duties that pertain to the office.
- The Vice-President shall:
- Preside at meetings in the absence of the President or at the request of the President.
- Succeed to the office of President for the unexpired term, in the event of a vacancy in that office.
- The Secretary shall:
- Record the proceedings of all meetings of the chapter and Executive Board
- Prepare for distribution of the minutes within thirty (30) days of the meetings.
- Perform all duties incident to the office and as deemed necessary by the Executive Board.
- The Treasurer shall:
- Receive and deposit all funds of the chapter in its name in accordance with Chapter’s insurance requirements.
- Make disbursement and keep written accounts of all transactions in accordance with the financial policies established by the Board of Directors.
- Make a monthly financial report at the Board of Directors and or general membership meetings
- Submit an annual report to the Board of Directors and Chapter.
- Send dues notices to delinquent members who fail to pay dues and/or fees by the deadline date.
- Serve as the Chairperson for the Finance Committee.
- Perform other duties pertaining to the office and as requested by the Board of Directors.
Duties of Appointed Officers
Social Media Secretary shall:
- Maintain the chapters Facebook, Twitter and Website.
- Routinely updating accounts with events and pictures
- Recommend social events to the group
- Notify the media all newsworthy activities of the Chapter, and to coordinate the publicity for all Chapter activities. All duties relating to electronic communication will be in compliance NBNA Guidelines.
