Back to school healthfair

The T. Leroy Jefferson Medical Society (TLJMS) and FoundCare, Inc. will partner to host the 17th annual back-to-school Community Health Fair on Saturday, August 5. The event, which will take place at FoundCare’s Health Center located at 2330 S. Congress Ave. in West Palm Beach, is designed to offer free health services and education to meet the healthcare needs of local residents at no cost.

Guest speakers, immunizations, screenings, physicals, dental checkups and much more will be provided for the whole family from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. and participants must register on site for services no later than noon.

Free services for children

  • Back-to-school physicals for school-age children
  • Immunizations for infants from two months old up to 18 years old (parents must bring immunization records for their children)
  • Vision screenings
  • Dental checkups

Free services for adults

  • Pap smears
  • Breast exams
  • Screenings for diabetes, blood pressure, glucose, cholesterol, and HIV
  • Demonstrations of proper car seat installation

Families who participate in the free medical screenings will be eligible to receive free backpacks filled with school supplies.

Health educators will be available for one-on-one consultations to discuss health issues, including behavioral health, hospice care, diabetes, and more.
