Healthy Living Every Day:
For those of us busy with life and all of its responsibilities it is sometimes hard to integrate healthy habits.
If you are not on your feet all day increasing your activity throughout the day can be as simple as doing squats, calf raises, or leg extensions at your desk; set a goal of doing 2 continuous minutes of your chosen activity every 2 hours. Take a walk around the office or up and down the stairs instead of reaching for that piece of candy or that second cup of coffee.
Eating healthy can add on the pounds if you are not watching your portions. Buy your snacks in bulk at the grocery store and bag them at home. Be mindful of the portion when bagging, it is best to use a measuring cup to avoid pouring too much. When buying fruits such as apples and oranges think small, something that can easing fit in your hand and will be easily eaten on the go.
Try incorporating eating healthy and increasing activities into your life slowly and always acknowledge your accomplishments no matter how small they may appear in the scheme of things.
